All amateur gardeners know this: a beautiful lawn must be scarified so that light, air and nutrients can reach the roots optimally. If scarification is neglected, weeds and moss can take over and succulent grass becomes thinner and thinner. However, scarification can take a long time in the event of inadequate instrumentation, as scarification must be carried out longitudinally and transversely.

This is where the Parkside PBV 4200 A1 thermal scarifier, with its 40 cm working width, is an effective aid. Its powerful 4-stroke gasoline engine of 212 cm3 and 4300 W with a roller equipped with 18 blades cuts the foam and foam layer and removes it with its roots.

To protect the roots from grass, the PBV 4200 A1 has six adjustable working heights from -15 to +5 mm, allowing optimal adaptation of the working height to the ground conditions. Thus, during scarification, the soil is cut by only a few millimetres, while the old cut herbs, mosses and weeds are eliminated. Water, nutrients, light and air thus reach the roots of the grass better, which becomes stronger, greener and luxuriant.

The 40 cm working width of the PBV 4200 A1 scarifier facilitates the maintenance of medium sized gardens, since each passage allows to scarify simultaneously a larger surface than with a smaller model.

As the unit is equipped with a large 35-litre collector, it is no longer necessary to collect the punctured foam with a lot faster work. Thanks to the foldable handle, the scarifier can be reduced to a compact format once the work is completed and stored in a minimally cumbersome manner until the next use.
